    blues songs
I shall post more frequently since the winter cold is back and the snows piling up.Writing ,listening to records full of coffee is perfect when I come inside from shovelling.
Joanie you illusive Canadian.Where did you run off too?dont really mind that you got my spare skateboard.Miss the fun you bring up here to the rockies but now I can only play you a song heres "While the city Sleeps"by the sweet soul queen of New Orleans Irma Thomas

"See the girl with the red dress on"
Thanks to KRCL community radio for their tribute to Ray Charles.Ive listened to "What I'd say"a few times tonight and I'll listen to more. The music speaks for itself. Now he's got Soul!time to turn the record over.
Never was a big fan of Reagan going back to the days of him being president of the screen actors guild sending the feds after those in hollywood he suspected to be Communists including the director of "On the waterfront"and the others making up the hollywood 10.I didnt like him as Governer of California who ate grapes in Public simply to spite the farm workers boycott of grapes to protest poor working conditions And we are still in debt from Reganomics. The clips of "Bedtime for Bonzo"they showed on TV made me laugh a bit.Makes me think of one of my first ever protests which was against the Star Wars program.
This is wrong writing more about Regan than Ray Charles
Im off to play more Ray Charles records. The Night Time is the Right time!!!!!

    Your Model Sucks
Im proud to say I never watched a single episode of"Friends"during its duration

"The more you own the more it owns you"
After years of being a pack rat Im over my head in Junk did manage to get rid of alot but I still have goods with nostalgic value. For years Ive archived letters post cards flyers etc.Since I feel like Im latching on to the past too much I think its time to throw things in the fire.A few friends have told me about doing it and I seem to agree with them.
When I travelled all over for years I would collect rocks from my favorite spots. The Shoeshone territory, the shore of the Mississippi,a piece of the sidewalk from the east village etc.I had a pretty good collection going.Last summer I threw them all in the garden.I was going to make a fountain out of them.I felt nice to let go.
Time to update and start from scratch.
Im thinking of calling my book either"Miscued Destiny"or "Infinite Misaprehension"

    His Clout Ran Out
I read somewhere about John Lennon trying to get into the Whisky or one of those L.A. spots with a Maxi Pad stuck to his forehead. The door lady wouldnt let him in "Do you know who I am?"and the doorlady replied"yeah your an asshole with a Kotex stuck to your head"

"You can find Justice it will find you"
Seems like when I see all these Memorial day festivities,Support our troops. What about the thousands of homeless Viet Nam vets you see on the streets and in all the shelters. They always seem to be left out.
I hear all these Right Wing fools saying the reason why nam vets have so much Post Tramitic Stress Syndrome cause of all the protesters what Bullshit. Its from the genocide and young men dropping like flies from a draft that was exempt to the wealthy who could afford to send there kids to college. The working class and poor were threatend with Jail time or draft.
3 years ago this day My friend Dan Melnick died in Police custody at the corner of 8th and Santa Clara st.s in San Jose during a struggle with a few cops.He never got up.The Pigs say there was no excessive force used. They declared the cause of death unknown and determind he just happend to die during the struggle.Damn pigs
A few years earlier I would take care of my friend Billy Judd.He was very sick.He had a seizure and stopped breathing one afternoon.I thought that was it for him.The medics showed up and tried to revive him.Once I told the cops he had Aids they wanted nothing to do with it.As I was walking out with the medics I could hear the cops in the background joking with each other wondering if we were all fags.Billy was revived and I got to talk to him before he died a couple days later.
Cant you Fucking Cops let my friends go in peace.
It was tough to hear about the death of Johnny Rissman last year.I was glad to hear that he died while hiking in the Himalayas. When he started that trek on the way he went to see the rinposhes and give them my photo so they could send me good vibes.
Its really tough losing friends.I think about it and dont come up with much other than the fact that I tend to make friends with people who take risks.

    Canada.... Joy Joy
I've been outside working on my Japanese rock garden somthing that really relaxes me.It makes me think of the outlaw garden at my old place. All the plants were stolen.Robin and I would take my 67 Mercury to the ritzy homes with really nice gardens armed with shovels. We became really sharp plant theives. The Outlaw Garden was a real hit in the neighborhood.
The San Jose Sharks came so close to a Stanley cup appearence. It was cool to watch them shut down Colorado.Im not to bummed out that they lost to the Calgary Flames when I saw how Calgary was a citywide party. Hooray for Molsen, Tim Hortons Donuts, ketchup flavored potato chips, clemency for draft dodgers,RUSH,Degrassi high,Rockerd Richard and no embargo on Cuba.Gotta love the Great White North.

    Roller Skates or Bridal gown?
Veronica hurt her ankle roller skating so I went to some ice but the freezer was bare. However there was a big frozen plastic bag.I asked John could we use this."Yeah use that he said."thats wedding cake thats been in there for 5 years"Since he had just finalized his divorced we put the wedding cake around Veronica's anklee and kind of laughed about it.I thought about how usuing wedding cake on a roller skating girl was a good personal statement for me since I was weighing out the differences between settling down and being on my own.Its on my mind alot of friends of mine have gotten married and Im about to turn 33.The misuse of the cake reminded me that I should be hung up on stuff like that.I should continue to do my own thing and belive that when the time is right I'll meet the right girl and I will know I should marry her.Until then I will back off from the dangerous force that talk of marriage is.

    I met the Caffiene Queen
Last Year at this time I worked on "Touched by an Angel"a good group of people to work with. Della Reese the Blues singer and the acteress Roma Downey who is a very genuine and kind hearted person.I just recalled a dream I had where her and I are walking by a barn near total death and destruction in the distance all out war.She asks me if I know where we can get Coffee?I told her I didnt know but Coffee sounded like a good idea and we should go look for some.Neither of us said anything to each other about all the destruction around us.We just walked along hoping we would find a coffee place. We were determind.
Long days working on a TV set messes up your psyche and gets deep into your sub concious. At the same time I had cut back on the way too much coffee I was fueled by.
I recently cut back on coffee again and I feel much better. So perhaps tonight I'll have another dream off a good old quest for Coffee combined with the usuaul mayhem I dream about.
